Sewtec hires two new managers to support ongoing UK and export growth

Chris Mapledoram and Kelvin Hawkes have joined the company as technical sales manager and senior project manager respectively.

Previously technical sales manager at automotive and medical automation specialist ATM, Chris has more than 12 years’ sales experience and more than 20 years’ engineering experience. At Sewtec, he will be responsible for seeking out and securing domestic and international new business opportunities whilst ensuring the highest possible satisfaction levels among existing customers.

In his new role as a senior project manager, Kelvin Hawkes will be able to draw upon 20 years of project and programme management experience. This includes 13 years with Huddersfield-based diesel engine turbo manufacturer Cummins Turbo Technology, where he was director for new product introduction and change control.

Kelvin will oversee the successful execution of all projects across its complete bespoke automation solutions service, and support organic and strategic business growth.

To support our national and international project delivery, over the past 12 months we have recruited 20 new highly skilled employees across engineering, manufacturing and sales roles. These two new hires bring Sewtec’s headcount to more than 80 people, with plans to create an additional 40 jobs in the region within the next four years.
