We’ve been listed in the companies turning over £10m-£50m and manufacturer of the year categories, and our managing director Mark Cook has been shortlisted for the business leader of the year award.

Taking place at the Emerald Stadium Headingley on Wednesday November 6, the Excellence in Business Awards celebrates the very best of Yorkshire’s cutting-edge business community, from start-ups to corporate giants.

Mark Casci, business editor of The Yorkshire Post, said: “My fellow judges and I found this year’s shortlisting process harder than ever but we believe that this year’s list of companies going forth to the big event to be the best in class in each category.”

In a competitive field, we’re among four other businesses who have been shortlisted as companies turning over £10m-£50m, whilst the fantastic work our team is undertaking on a daily basis has been acknowledge with a shortlisting in the manufacturer of the year category, alongside two other business in the region.

Commenting on our shortlistings, Sewtec managing director, Mark Cook, said: “To be listed in three categories at the Excellence in Business Awards is a huge endorsement of the excellent work we’re doing here at Sewtec.

“We’re proud of the ongoing efforts of the entire Sewtec team to create bespoke and innovative automation solutions for our clients and these shortlistings recognise the hard work of everyone involved in our day-to-day operations.”

Mark Cook’s shortlisting is the second acknowledgement of his leadership, after also being shortlisted at the Northern Leadership awards.

Sewtec’s nominations for the 2019 event follows our success at last year’s Excellence In Business Awards, where we picked up the accolade for exporter of the year.
