Sewtec support upcoming Clarence Roars Festival27 July 2022
We are delighted to be supporting ‘Clarence Roars! The 30th Party’ this year, taking place over two days from July 30th to the 31st at The Bandstand at Clarence Park in Wakefield. With two stages of live music and a DJ stage, 22 bands will be playing across the weekend to entertain the crowds and put on a fantastic show.
The event is being hosted by Wakefield Music Collective, a not-for-profit volunteer-run organisation. The Wakefield Music Collective has been presenting the Clarence Park Festival since 1991, making it the longest-running free music festival in Yorkshire.
This year, it’s celebrating its 30th birthday party and is set to be the biggest celebration yet. It comes at the perfect time, as with the lockdowns of the Pandemic behind us, Summer 2022 is for celebrating. And of course, there is no better way to celebrate the sunshine than with food, drink and outdoor live music; everything from pop, rock, electronica, folk and African beats.
With Sewtec having donated money to support this wonderful event, it’s an extra special weekend for all our employees in attendance. However, it’s set to be a particularly proud time for two employees in particular, as their sons, ‘Ed and Jenson’ take to the stage to perform to the crowds!
Event organisers Kate Honeyman and Rachel Winstanley say, “Wakefield Music Collective are grateful for the support we receive from all our funders and sponsors. Without them, Clarence Roars 2022 could not go ahead. We want to say a massive thank you to Sewtec Automation for sponsoring us this year. With the support from Sewtec and our other sponsors, grant funders, vendors and stall holders, we are able to offer this event to our audience for free and put on an awesome weekend for everyone to enjoy!”
Mark Atkins, Business Support Director at Sewtec says, “Clarence Roars 2022 is set to be a fantastic weekend and we at Sewtec are really excited to be involved! Supporting local initiatives in the community is something really close to our hearts at Sewtec. We are continuously striving to do what we can to make a difference. To be able to help make this weekend of family fun happen after a difficult few years for everyone is a total honour.”
Clarence Roars 2022 will take place on the 30th – 31st July. Music starts from 12 noon to 9pm each day at The Bandstand, Clarence Park, Denby Dale Road, Wakefield and is free to attend.
