Sewtec surpass the 50% milestone on 50,000km charity challenge26 July 2022
Our fabulous Sewtec employees have officially surpassed the 50% milestone of our 2022 50,000km challenge to raise money for local charities around the Wakefield area.
The team are spending the year getting active; be that walking, running, cycling, swimming or anything else they fancy. We’re clocking up the kilometres in an effort to reach our 50,000km target, with an internal leaderboard to showcase those most dedicated to the cause.
When it came to the charities we’d support with the money raised, we looked to our team to suggest causes close to their hearts. We have now identified that the four charities we’ll be supporting are:
So far, we have raised £1,270 which is just over 25% of our £5,000 target. We’re so proud of our team for getting this far, but we still have a way to go! Whether you are a Sewtec team member helping us clock up those kilometres, a customer, partner or supporter of Sewtec, please consider donating if you haven’t already.
If you think you can help us reach our target before the 12th of December 2022, please head to our GoFundMe page to donate. Your money will be going to some fantastic local causes and will only motivate the Sewtec team further to keep running, cycling, walking and swimming!
Mark Atkins, Business Support Director at Sewtec says;
“We’re really proud of the effort everyone has gone to so far in our 50,000km charity challenge. At Sewtec, we are passionate about raising money for local charities so to be doing this whilst also encouraging people to get fit and get moving is a win-win. If you can spare any pennies for the rest of the year, please help us reach out £5,000 target!”
