You’ll also get the chance to see examples of our machines as well as exploring the capabilities of some of our top suppliers.

Sewtec Open Day 2021

Your visit will start with a short introduction to Sewtec Automation followed by a guided tour of our new facility, including:

  • 75,000 sq. ft facility
  • Fabrication and machine shops
  • Quality inspection
  • Control panel shop and software design
  • Mechanical design and project management

The tour will end with introductions to our key suppliers who will be showcasing their capabilities and discussing how they work with Sewtec to deliver outstanding automation projects.

Key information for visitors to Sewtec Open Day 2021

All visitors must bring their own PPE, including safety shoes, hi vis, and safety goggles for the factory tour. To hire these items for the day, please get in touch with the team after booking your place.

Food and refreshments are provided.

Disabled parking and lift access available on site. We also have a number of electric car charging points at the far end of the visitor car park.

Travel information for Sewtec Open Day 2021

Travelling by car

Sewtec Automation is located in Silkwood Business Park, Wakefield, just off Junction 40 of the M1. Please note parking will be limited and we kindly request visitors adhere to their chosen timeslot to allow space for other visitors.

Travelling by public transport

The nearest train station is 2.5 miles away at Wakefield Westgate station. Our site is then a 10-minute taxi or bus ride away.
