Sewtec Automation takes its first steps in building a strong ethical reputation.
18 May 2018We are delighted to announce that Sewtec have recently taken part in an independent CSR assessment for the first time and have been awarded EcoVadis Silver recognition level.
Sewtec’s Managing Director. Mark Cook said of the award, “We are extremely proud to have been awarded a silver for our efforts and we will continue to develop our sustainability strategy. Sewtec remain committed to working with partners that recognise the importance of strong quality, environmental and ethical practices in the workplace.”
He continued “We deliver our products all over the world and the EcoVadis silver rating gives our customers the assurance that they can trust in our sustainability credentials.”
EcoVadis is an independent CSR assessment agency. Its methodology covers 21 criteria across four themes of environment, fair labour practices, ethics/fair business practices, and supply chain. It is built on international CSR standards including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000, covering 150 spend categories and 140 countries.
