Sewtec Awarded 5 Stars at the Zero Waste Awards 2022
11 November 2022It is always an honour to receive recognition for our ongoing work in sustainability at Sewtec, and so we are very proud to receive a five-star rating from Zero Waste Awards.
Now in their ninth year, the Zero Waste Awards were established by letsrecycle.com, and are designed to recognise and reward organisations for their efforts to reduce the number of resources they waste across the business.
With more than 500 members, the scheme aims to provide a platform for winners to collaborate to reduce their environmental impact.
There are 10 different categories for entrants, ranging from manufacturing, construction and retail and leisure, just to name a few.
Using a 5-star system, entrants are assigned a ranking by an expert judging panel, and Sewtec are pleased to have been one of only 5 companies to receive 5 stars!
The ceremony and networking event took place at Ember Yard in London, where winners were presented with their official certificates. Our head of QHSE, Charles Boswell, attended the ceremony.
“It was a great opportunity to converse with other environmentally-conscious businesses,” said Charles. “We pride ourselves on our constant development of sustainability practices, so it felt great to receive the highest rating for the Zero Waste Award in recognition of this.”
