Sewtec Commits to Carbon Emissions Reduction
11 April 2024Sewtec Automation Ltd have made a commitment to the SBTI Science Based Targets to be net-zero by 2050 by reducing carbon emissions and addressing circularity.
Businesses have a vital role in addressing the climate crisis by driving down greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and building a resiliant, zero-emissions economy. This action must be grounded in science.
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worlwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis.
SBTi develops standards, tools and guidance which allow companies to set GHG emissions reduction targets in line with what is needed to limit global warming and reach net-zero by 2050 at the latest.
We have made great steps in reducing our carbon footprint by actions such as only using green electricity and recycling 100% of our waste such as metals, plastics, cables and cardboard. By doing this we are well on our way to becoming net-zero.
