Sewtec’s Managing Director Joins the Snowdon Summit Challenge

13 September 2022

Here at Sewtec, we always believe in supporting charities that align with what we do in the world of automation.

That’s why our Managing Director, Ian Walch, is taking part in the Snowdon Summit Challenge.

Snowdonia National Park

Captained by Victoria Hammond from Schneider Electric, a group of like-minded colleagues from various companies within the energy and electrical sector are hiking up Mount Snowdon to the dizzying height of 1,065 metres above sea level – the highest point in the British Isles.

Taking place on the 17th September 2022, the team plan to complete the hike in just one day, opting to follow the Llanberis Path – the most popular route amongst hikers due to its more gradual incline to suit all abilities.

The challenge is all in support of the Electrical Industries Charity, which was founded more than 100 years ago in 1905 to support individuals and families within the energy and electrical sector that are in need. Their services truly do help to provide support for those in various circumstances, ranging from financial troubles to ill health and everything in between. The original goal was to raise £500 – a figure that has now been surpassed!
