Sewtec’s managing director Mark Cook recognised with double leadership award shortlisting

Sewtec’s managing director, Mark Cook, has been recognised for his outstanding leadership skills with two award shortlistings.

Both the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards and the inaugural Northern Leadership Awards have acknowledged the fantastic work Mark’s impressive achievements since joining Sewtec in 2017. Sewtec’s ongoing transformation strategy which has seen our turnover double to a record £28m in the year to 30 June 2019.

Thanks to his work on leading the business’s growth, Mark has been shortlisted alongside four other leaders in the transformational leader category at The Northern Leadership Awards. Organised by The Business Desk, the awards will take place at The Queens Hotel in Leeds on November 28 where the winners of each category will be announced.

Taking place at the Emerald Stadium Headingley on November 6, Mark has been shortlisted alongside two fellow leaders in the business leader of the year category at the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards

Commenting on his double shortlisting, Mark Cook said: “It is humbling to be shortlisted for awards at both of these prestigious events. Without the support and efforts of the whole Sewtec team, these shortlistings wouldn’t be possible – they recognise the hard work of everyone involved in our day-to-day operations.”

Mark’s nominations come at a time of rich shortlisting success for Sewtec. We’ve been shortlisted in two further categories at the Excellence in Business Awards, our skills and people have been recognised by the MX Manufacturer Awards, and two of our apprentices have be recognised by the national Make UK awards.
